Halle Berry About Due
2008-03-13 05:23:12 - Remember Halle berry? The actress we used to see all the time and in movies?
Catwoman, Monsters Ball, X-Men…Oh - yeah, her. Isn’t she having a baby? It seems like forever ago since Halle announced she was pregnant. And it has been, hasn’t it? Where has she gone?
Well, it hasn’t been years like it seems, only six months or so. Halle was seen outside of a grocery store – haha, a pregnant woman has to
eat - looking great. And ready to pop at any moment. I’m sure Halle is feeling that way right about now, too. When will this baby be born?
No word on the exact due date, but in the fall - yes, the fall - it was said it would be in the spring and then we heard April. Weeeeelll, it’s the spring and almost April. Where is baby Berry?
Once baby Berry is born, do you think we’ll find out the baby’s name right away? And why aren’t people hounding Halle like they did JLo and Nicole and Christina? I’m sure we’ll know the moment she goes in to labor – so don’t worry. It’ll be posted here as soon as there is a peep.

Cranes are sluts.
Interesting story but I disagree with them saying the city is mostly to blame. What about the construction company? They own the equipment and should use it properly. The city only inspects. Both are at fault. And what about the crane operator? If I did that for a living, I would be sure to check proper construction before climbing up there.
HE IS A HERO
Seems like a lot of people standing around with their arms crossed and their fingers pointing out in opposite directions. “Yeah, it must be somebody else’s fault.” Typical.
Oops
I take it you have never seen a picture of Al Gore before?
Or George W. They are both smug looking to me.
It does not surprise me that he was blown off. What DOES surprise me is that he was not fired the next day.New York is fucked up. Is anyone connecting the dots out there??? Hello???Bear SternsSpitzerGiulianiCraneMortgage backed securitiesClintonBill of Fox New…The culture here is corrupt and needs independent federal oversight. I am thinking something like the Reconstruction.Shit… I’ve been listening to too much Sigur Ros.But, I am pretty sure this country is a lot better off if it just stops funneling its money through NYC and DC. A large segment of the population in those two cities simply feed off the cash flow. Why send it? Keep it for yourselves. Most of these folks can pretty much be replaced by a decent set of algorithms.
please read or re-read the article.
That is the most smug looking man I have ever seen.
The guy saying “if they’d built more braces this wouldn’t happen” reminded me of Futurama talking about the fuel tanker leaking: “If only they’d built it with 6001 hulls! When will they learn?”Ultimately it was an unlucky piece of steel falling that caused the accident. More bracing could’ve prevented it but ultimately inspectors have to draw a line somewhere when it comes to what’s classified as acceptable or not.
As an American who is neither, let me be the first to say: screw you.
The construction company would have had soemone with the credentials you describe to put that crane together, it’s not up to the city to know how these things work, only to enforce building codes. With or without the braces this thing was probably within code.
The city inspected it and messed up the inspection. Had the city done a proper job, the accident would not have happened. Therefore the city should be held responsible. If it doesn’t want to take responsibility, then the city shouldn’t charge fees for inspection.Of course the builder is probably also partially responsible, but I think most of the blame should fall on the professional inspector who had a duty to check for safety, who was trained to do this, and who assured the contractor that that the crane was safe. Not only should the city have to compensate the victims of this accident, but the incompetent/corrupt inspector in charge should have to personally pay and perhaps be held criminally responsible for causing the death of innocent people.Ideally, city inspectors should be replaced by competent inspectors, hired by an insurance or bond company that will guarantee proper construction or else pay damages. Guaranteeing safety is too important to be done by government.
He is clearly a terrorist! Lock him up in Gitmo, that’ll keep him from terrorising construction companies in future.
