Probably because you’re projecting. Just because you’re a stoner, doesn’t mean that everyone else is. Duh.
what about all the other logos? he drank green beer, not everyone is a drinker. he did the whole dungeons and dragons thing. which i admit was a nice tribute…but d&d is fucking gay. hmmm…I think you have something against stoners….
Meh, I’ve played all of those but Diablo, and can’t say I was ever addicted to them. However, I can easily get lost in JRPGs, wasting 8-10 hours at a time.
Um, no need for a debate. Anyone who has ever played Starcraft, Diablo, Quake III, or Call of Duty 4 understands video game addiction.
World. Of. Warcraft.Hell, I had a teacher in high school who played EverCrack during class.
I don’t think the parent company would like that..
Could you get addicted to not getting addicted to anything?
Because, it’s still illegal. His eyes are red, though…
The real issue with the debate is how to define addiction. For some it means a difficulty to quit. But then how do you quantify that and does a mental difficulty supersede an actual physical difficulty? Then once you settle on one of those, you have to convince the people that argue that addiction is how it affects your actions with other parts of your life. For most psychologists and professionals, in order to qualify for an addiction there has to be a physical requirement for the addiction. A drug addict becomes physically addicted to a drug by discontinuing production of a particular chemical your body actually needs. Thus, quitting some drugs cold-turkey can lead to actual death. Quitting World of Warcraft just leads to you dreaming about killing Kael’thas.Due to that, most professionals don’t give credence to video game addiction, but then they also don’t give any room for other habitual activities such as “sex-addicts” or “shop-lifting addicts”. Meaning people that have these issues often have a harder time finding help in dealing with their habitual tendencies.
Dear Mr or Mrs Next US President, good luck with the primaries and the elections.
It’s passover too, why isn’t he eating some Matzoh? Furthermore, the reddit alien seems more like a bong guy to me.
Thats crazy!
A reasonable measure of addiction is how hard it is to quit. Getting off Civilization 2 was like holding my hand in a fire for two days.
Which is worse?”I’m not addicted to TV , I just enjoy watching 6 hours worth every day once I get home from work.”Or”I’m not addicted to video games, I just enjoy playing them for 6 hours each day once I get home from work.”Or”I’m not addicted to novels, I just enjoy reading them for 6 hours each day once I get home from work.”Seriously, what difference is there other than personal taste in what you enjoy to do?Honestly, anybody who divides their time equally between all 3 would likely be trying to cut all funding from any future research into this retarded subject.
you can get addicted to just about anything.
