A Fox River Grove man was arrested on drug charges Thursday after a month-long police investigation.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 42-year-old Rudolfo Landeros, of the 300 block of Circle Road.
Landeros’ charges included unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, unlawful possession of marijuana and two counts of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Landeros was arrested as he arrived home from work and was stopped by Fox River Grove Police on a traffic violation. At the same time, narcotics investigators were preparing to serve a warrant at Landeros’ house, McHenry County Sheriff’s Lt. Andrew Zinke said.
At the house, detectives seized about 88 grams of cocaine, 67 grams of marijuana, two scales, drug paraphernalia, a safe and $80. They also found a Colt semi-automatic .25 caliber pistol and 21 rounds of ammunition.
The street value of the seized drugs was estimated by McHenry County Sheriff Keith Nygren at about $9,700.
